Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM)

Course Details

Nursing is a profession including range of specialties. Nursing includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness and care of the ill. Nurses strive to achieve the best possible for quality of life for their patients, regardless of disease or disability.

    The Training for Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife is offered as a 2 years duration course. The course cover all the related topics of the study field. The course is open to student who have successfully completed class 12 or its equivalent. Upon completion of the training the candidate can be register himself/herself as Registered ANM.

    General Nurses & Midwifery (GNM)

    Course Details

    A number of independent Schools and Nursing Colleges offer the GNM courses, however it is ideal to associate with Colleges of Nursing that are affiliated to universities. The Indian Nursing Council is the regulatory authority for nursing education. Qualified nurses are also required to register themselves with the council. Students must ensure that they are seeking admission to Institutions that are approved by the Council. In many Institutions stipends are given to selected students on condition that after successfully completing the programmes they would serve the concerned organizations for a specified period. Nursing is basically a women’s profession, however a small number of courses at the lower level are open to male candidates (Male Nurses) also. Today nurses constitute the largest single group of female health workers in world. One of the basic requirements for first entry is that the candidates should either be unmarried or widows, legally separated or divorcees without encumbrances

    Course Details

    Optometric technicians perform vision tests & eye examinations. The operate equipment and record data for review by the Optometrist. As well as dispensing glasses and lenses, optometric technicians help patients choose frames & contact & do fittings & adjustments. They must know physiology and anatomy of the eye and eye muscles.

    Physiotherapy is also known as Physical Therapy and by the short name of PT. This discipline focuses on physical medicine and rehabilitation. As the name suggests, this discipline uses physical motion, force and activities to correct impairments or deformities and thus helps rehabilitate the patient.Massages, physical exercise and movements are used to correct deformities, injuries or diseases in patients. Usually physiotherapy is used to take care of rehabilitation process of patients.
